Lesson

My classes were a day ahead of schedule, so I was able to introduce my wiki based lesson on Friday. The students responded well to the activity and they are roughly half-way through the lesson. Most of the students should finish the task on Monday, but I am going to designate some additional time Tuesday. They should all be finished by the end of the class period on Tuesday.

Lesson Plan Update

This week, I have been working on my lesson plan and the wiki. I'm currently designing the wiki to be a self-guided lesson. I will be introducing the activity to my classes on Friday December 2nd. The students should be able to complete the task by Wednesday (12/7).

Change of Plans

I'm going to change my plan for this assignment to develop a lesson that can be delivered to more of my art students. My new plan is to create and implement a lesson plan (option #1) that shows my students how to setup, maintain and share a digital portfolio that showcases their art work. I'm currently working on the lesson plan, and deciding which web 2.0 platform (blog or wiki) will best suit my vision. The choice of web 2.0 tool will affect my implementation and delivery strategies.

Final Assignment

For my final assignment, I will be writing and implementing a lesson plan that incorporates web 2.0. I'm going to use a pbworks wiki as a hub to arrange and share my lesson with my students. The lesson will be delivered to my Graphic Design students. The lesson will guide my students through the process of designing a restaurant menu.
